Chunky Knitted Baby Blanket

A talented photographer friend of mine was looking for some new props for newborn photography and asked if I'd make a blanket, bonnet and little pants for her.  I was excited to try all three!
Here is the pattern for the super soft and cushy blanket I made, and scroll down to link to the etsy patterns for the bonnet and pants, too!

Yarn
2 skeins of Loops & Threads Select Wool (I used Light Grey) or 14oz of another Category 6/Super Bulky yarn

Needles
Long (I used 28") circular needles, US15/10mm

Measurements
20" x 24"

Directions
Cast on 60 stitches.  Knit in seed stitch (K1, P1) for row 1 and (P1, K1) for row two, repeat row 1 and 2 until you have just enough yarn left for binding off. Bind off loosely and weave in the ends.  That's it!

The bonnet and pants I made for my friend's newborn photography business were from great patterns I purchased through etsy; find the bonnet here and the shorts/pants pattern here!  I made both with one skein of Bernat Satin yarn in the colour Dove Grey (with plenty of yarn leftover!)  I thought the colour went really nicely with the yarn I used for the blanket.

When my daughter starts Kindergarten in the fall I hope to make enough to sell my original Songbird Jewelry & Accessories creations in an online store!
